The folder contains 7 files: - aeclient.exe: This executable file installs ArcExplorer v1.1 on your computer. This is the free GIS viewer from ESRI. - arcexplorer.pdf: This Adobe Acrobat file is a slideshow/booklet introducing ArcExplorer, showing its capabilities, and containing a quick tutorial. It is printable as a manual of 81 pages. - coq2doq1.zip: This DOS application decompresses compressed orthophotographs that you have downloaded so they can be viewed with ArcExplorer. These files are aerial photographs that have been digitally corrected to be undistorted when viewed as an image in a GIS. - import71.exe: This executable file installs Import 7.1 on your computer. This application allows you to import ArcInfo format files. This file format is common in many GIS databases accessable on the Internet. - PPView97.exe: This executable file installs a Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer on your computer. This allows you to view the 2 presentations in the GIS folder. - sdefix.zip: This file is a fix for ArcExplorer for accessing a particular type of file - SDE (spatial database engine). Most users will not need this. - webae_slides.pdf: This Adobe Acrobat slideshow is from a national GIS meeting. It shows some capabilities and applications of ArcExplorer not covered in the manual (arcexplorer.pdf) included with application.
