2000 Conference

 
This years conference will take place on October 26th and 27th, 2000 at Wayne State College.   The speaker this year will be Dr. William Freudenburge of the Department of Rural Sociology of the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Freudenburg will speak on Thursday night.
     Student Involvement in NUSS 2000
 

       Students, you may be involved in this conference in a number of ways. To begin, we encourage you to attend the conference and all of the activities that take place. You may present a paper that can be completed or a work in progress. You can organize or participate in a roundtable discussion. This deadline is October 11, 2000. Papers submitted for a panel or Roundtable submission should be sent to Dr. Monica Snowden, Sociology, Wayne State College, Wayne, NE 68787, 1-800-228-9972 ext 7136. Or you can submit a paper for competition. The deadline to submit a paper for competition is October 11, 2000. Paper competition submissions should be sent to Dr. Jason Karsky, Criminal Justice, Wayne State College, Wayne, NE 68787, 1-800-228-9972 ext 7139.

There are two categories for the competition which are Empirical or Literature Review/Theory. There will be cash prizes for winning in both categories, $50 for 1st place and $25 for 2nd place.
