       NUSS 99 Conference - Schedule of Events
 

This years conference will take place on October 28th and 29th, 1999 at the University of Nebraska at     Lincoln.   The speaker this year will be Dr. Carla Howery from the American Sociological Association.  Additionally, Felice Levine, Executive Director of ASA, will co-convene with Carla a workshop for NUSS faculty members.Many students from all around Nebraska are presenting at the conference.

       Students, you may be involved in this conference in a number of ways. To begin, we encourage you to attend the conference and all of the activities that take place. You may present a paper that can be completed or a work in progress. You can organize or participate in a roundtable discussion. This deadline is October 1, 1999. Or you can submit a paper for competition. The deadline to submit a paper for competition is October 11, 1999. There are two categories for the competition which are Empirical or Literature Review/Theory. There will be cash prizes for winning in both categories, $50 for 1st place and $25 for 2nd place.
