The highlight and most important aspect of the program is the internship experience. We individualize the internship experience as much as possible to meet the goals and interests of the students in the program. We are capable of placing student interns at various locations in Nebraska and across the United States.
The completion of the internship is possibly a student's most important academic endeavor; national data indicates that internships lead to employment for 80 percent of interns.
We have placed sports administration interns with the Indiana Pacers, Buffalo Bills, Orlando Magic, Alamodome in San Antonio, Toledo Mudhens, Colorado springs Sky Sox and Wichita Aeros in minor league baseball, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference headquarters in Denver, Colorado, and the Colorado Xplosion a professional women's basketball team in Denver.
