The Big event is the largest student-run, community service project in the nation. Each year, hundreds of universities across the country devote one day to say 'thank you' to the residents of their surrounding community.Founded
by students at Texas A&M more than 26 years ago, students participating in
the Big Event have been able to lend a helping hand to thousands across the
nation. Please join us in our effort to say 'thank you' to the Kearney
community by signing up for our 3rd Annual Big Event, which will be held on April 26th, 2008. By completing service projects such such as window washing, yard work, painting and other small chores, you will do your part in saying 'thank you' to the community that helps support the University of Nebraska at Kearney.The Big Event is proud to be affiliated with the Student Government at UNK and proud to be a recognized student organization.
