Status: Very rare stray.
Flight Period(s): This butterfly flies in May to mid June in Missouri.
Range: This species is found from the New England states west to Minnesota and southwest to Missouri. In Missouri Heitzman (1987) reports it to be rare outside the eastern Ozarks. There are but two Nebraska records, these being from Lancaster and Cherry counties.
Larval Hostplant(s): In Missouri various members of the Figwort (Scrophulariaceae) family are utilized including Penstemon and Gerardia species.
