Flight Period(s): Flies year round in Mexico, and is most numerous in early summer in Texas. |
Range: Resident in Mexico and southern Texas, occasionally straying north as far as Nebraska. |
Larval Hostplant(s): Larvae feed on noseburn (Tragia neptifolia) which does not occur north of Texas. Other Tragia species occur as far north as Kansas. |
Overwinter: This species does not survive winters in this area. |
Commentary/Habitat: Said to prefer open areas. |
