Range: This species is found from eastern Wyoming south into Mexico, and west into southeastern California. In Nebraska it has been found in Dawes and Sioux counties. |

Overwinter: As half-grown larvae |
Commentary/Habitat: In some recent literature this species is listed under Polydryas minuta (the Dotted Checkerspot) as some authorities now consider them to be the same species. The Arachne Checkerspot resides in colonies atop or near ridgetops in Pine Ridge habitats. |
