Celastrina echo sidara (Clench, 1944)
Status: Uncommon local resident.
Flight Period(s): There is one spring flight from mid-May to early June.
Range: It has only been collected in the Pine Ridge area of Souix county.
Larval Hostplant(s): Larvae feed on the flowers of chockcherry (Prunusvirginiana).
Overwinter: As pupae.
Commentary/Habitat: This butterfly is found in association with its hostplants in the Pine Ridge of northwestern Nebraska. It has been found at Gilbert-Baker State Wildlife Management Area and Sowbelly Canyon, both in Sioux County.
