Commentary/Habitat: In Nebraska this species has long been found in Pine Ridge grasslands and rocky hillside prairies of the panhandle. Recently (in the last 20 years) it has also been discovered in the loess hills of the southcentral and southwestern Nebraska, where it is proving to be quite widespread. It is often common in the panhandle, where it flies in early June, often with Boisduval’s Blue. It is somewhat less numerous in the loess hills where it’s flight is usually completed by mid May.
Similar Species: Boisduval’s Blue.
