Flight Period(s): This species flies all year in southern portions of Texas and Florida. Nebraska records are from larvae emerging as adults in June. |
Range: Resident along the Gulf Coast, from there straying north as far as New York. The only Nebraska records are from Lancaster County. |

Overwinter: This species cannot survive NE winters. Farther south it flies throughout the year. |
Commentary/Habitat: Nebraska records for this species are the result of larvae found by Emily Rieur on Cannas in 1992. These larvae emerged as adults in June of the same year. Observers should watch for larvae on Canna plants. |
