Status: Uncommon local resident, probably somewhat overlooked due to its early flight. |
Flight Period(s): One spring flight. There are Nebraska records from 27 April -19 May. |
Range: The Sleepy Duskywing is found in the eastern half of the United States as well as Texas, New Mexico and portions of Arizona and California. In Nebraska it is known to occur in the southeastern corner of the state. |

Overwinter: As a full grown caterpillar |
Commentary/Habitat: This species inhabits margins and openings in oak woodlands where it has been collected with Erynnis juvenalis and/or E. horatius on several occasions. It has been collected at Indian Cave State Park (Nemaha and Richardson Counties) and Twin Oaks State Wildlife Management Area ( Johnson County). |
