Range: Found from southern Alberta and Saskatchewan south into Mexico. In Nebraska the species is thus far limited to the panhandle. |

Commentary/Habitat: The type locality for this species is in the canyon region of Sioux County near the town of Harrison. It inhabits hilly short grass prairies and grassy openings in forests. It can become numerous and has been found at Gilbert-Baker State Wildlife Management Area (the type locality in Sioux County), at Metcalf State Wildlife Management Area (Sheridan County), at the Interstate 80 East rest area west of Sidney (Cheyenne County) and as far east as Ash Hollow State Historical Park (Garden County). |
