Range: The Long Dash is found in a wide swath in northern United Sates and southern Canada. In Nebraska the species inhabits the northwestern half of the state. |

Commentary/Habitat: The Long Dash is primarily a wetland/riparian species in Nebraska. While widespread it is only occasionally abundant. It has been found at Alexandria Springs State Recreation Area (Custer County) and on the Niobrara Valley Preserve (Brown, Cherry and Keya Paha Counties) on a consistant basis. It can also be found in road ditches along sandhills rivers. |
