Polites sabuleti (Boisduval, 1852)
Status: Rare stray (possible resident)
Flight Period(s): Two flights at lower elevations (which should include Nebraska) May-June and August-September.
Range: Found from southern British Columbia south to Baja Mexico and east through Colorado and Wyoming. The Nebraska record is from extreme western Nebraska (Scotts Bluff county).
Larval Hostplant(s): Grasses: Poa pratensis, Cynodon dactylon, Eragrostis trichodes, Agrostis and Festuca species
Overwinter: As pupae
Commentary/Habitat: Record is from 1987. A single specimin was caught on rabbitbrush in Scotts Bluff county.
