Flight Period(s): One early summer flight. Nebraska records are from 11 June – 18 July. |
Range: This species is found from western Alaska southeast to northern New Mexico. It has been recorded from the westernmost panhandle counties in Nebraska. |
Larval Hostplant(s): Stonecrop (Sedum lanceolatum). |
Overwinter: As an egg or partially grown larvae |
Commentary/Habitat: Old literature and specimens in the University of Nebraska – Lincoln collection suggest this species was common in the Sioux County canyonlands in the early 1900s. It is now extremely rare, if it exists there at all. The most recent record (from the late 1980’s) is from the mouth of Monroe Canyon north of Harrison where the hostplant grows in the road cut. |
