Status: A rare stray with only a single record in Nebraska |
Flight Period(s): Year round flights from multiple broods in its home range. The Nebraska record is from 8 July 1993. |
Range: A resident from Brazil north to extreme southern Texas. North of there it regularly strays to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, and has been found as far north as Colorado and Nebraska. |
Larval Hostplant(s): Various legumes, none of which occur close to Nebraska |
Overwinter: This species cannot overwinter in Nebraska |
Commentary/Habitat: Ferris and Brown (1980) report that it is found near brushy and wooded areas. The Nebraska specimen was captured by Doug Long. |
