Flight Period(s): Multiple broods fly year round in Mexico. One Nebraska record from 28 September. |
Range: A resident in Mexico and a somewhat common stray into southern portions of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. There is one record from eastern Nebraska. |
Larval Hostplant(s): A Cassia (C. texana) which does not occur in Nebraska and Desmodium species are reported from various portions of its range. |
Overwinter: Does not overwinter in Nebraska |
Commentary/Habitat: A Tailed Orange was photographed on flowers at Schramm State Recreation Area in Sarpy County by Barbara and Loren Padelford on Sept 28, 1986. |
