UNK SIFE

History

2003-2004

In 2003, the University of Nebraska at Kearney chapter of Students in Free Enterprise was founded. Its first year was a great success; at the Regional Competition in St. Louis the team took 1st Runner Up and 'Rookie of the Year' honors.

2004-2005

The 2004-2005 team established ambitious goals for UNK SIFE's second year. The team completed several projects during the year and competed at Regionals Competition in Boston. The team's hard work paid off with individual topic competition wins in Financial Literacy, Market Economics, Ethics, Success Skills, and Entrepreneurship. The team was also named Overall Regional Champs!

2005-2006

The 2005-2006 team looked to capitalize on the momentum it built during 2004-2005 by taking on some ambitious new projects and improving on some favorites. The UNK SIFE team went to Miami for Regional Competition. The competition in Miami in 2006 was fierce and the UNK SIFE team was pleased to win first place in the Financial Literacy competition.

2006-2007

This year's team boasts several new, young members who have enthusiastically followed the direction of veteran leaders on another full slate of projects. The UNK SIFE team looks forward to Regional Competition in Chicago and an opportunity to present the activities of another successful year.
