Summer Student Research Project:
The Summer Student Research Program provides undergraduate
students with opportunities to conduct original research
in close collaboration
with faculty experts. Funding is available for scholarly and
creative projects. Research experience helps students
apply their classroom-based
education to real problems, developing critical thinking skills,
writing ability, and presentation experience that will benefit
them in graduate study or professional life. Students and faculty
participate in field trips, research methods seminars, weekly
meetings, and symposia. Research projects are presented
each year.
Student Research Day:
In the Human Performance Lab, research is conducted throughout
the year. Student Research Day provides an opportunity for
students and
faculty to present the research they have been working on.
Four undergraduate students and four graduate students
from the
Human Performance Lab
took part in Student Research Day this year. Poster presentations,
as well as, oral presentations are given on various topics
of exercise and health from the Human Performance
Lab. Visit
Current Research
to view research presented.
